Juarez has been working with coffee for over 51 years. He started at 8, helping his father. In 2017, they acquired the land that would come to be called SÃtio Cabeceira do Cachoeirão. Thus, Juarez is the first generation to manage the farm. SÃtio Cabeceira do Cachoeirão has a total of 9 hectares, with an average altitude of 875 meters, with 17,000 coffee trees planted on 7 hectares.
The other 2 hectares are destined for environmental preservation with the planting of trees around springs and also for the construction of the farmhouse. About 90% of the coffee planted on the farm is Catucaà Tinto 785/15. Both crops are the same age, about 5 years. Juarez started producing specialty coffees in 2021, this being the second consecutive year in the segment. In 2021, the farm was champion in the Emater specialty coffee competition and runner-up in the Matas de Minas regional competition, in 2022 it was champion in the National Winner modality, in the CUP PF EXCELLENCE specialty coffee competition – Brazil 2022. All the work on the farm is done by the family. The processing of the specialty coffee is done by hand.
Specialty coffee, 100% Arabica, carefully grown in a precise geographical area, carefully picked, processed, selected, and freshly roasted, in small batches, specific to the origin and method of processing.
